Dealing with Divorce

Hey guys. Happy New Year! So I am supposed to be finishing my homework right now but that sounds terribly boring at the moment and I can’t concentrate. Today I found out that my parents are getting a divorce. Happy New Year to me. So what I am going to do right now is brainstorm some ideas for how to cope. If this doesn’t apply to you, you don’t have to read it. Here we go.

1. Talk to your friends

Friends will be able to get your mind off of things. You can also go to the movies with them or something like that to get your mind off of things.

2. Read a book

If your like me when you read a book you won’t even notice the world around you. It is also a good way to get smarter.

3. Get on Facebook

Some people on Facebook are so stupid that you are to busy laughing at them that you forget everything else.

4. Exersize

Exercising releases endorphins which is your feel good hormone.

5. Watch a movie

Movies just make you feel better. Grab some popcorn and do a movie marathon.

That’s all I have for now. I’ll try to think of more later.

  1. As someone who’s parents are also divorced, my best advice is to take it one day at a time, do what you can to feel better (in a safe way! watching a movie, exercising, and reading a book are great ideas) and know that with time it will get easier. I don’t know if that helps, but I think your list is great.
